365 Days In A Life - February 18

Ticket holders waiting to get in to the Broadway theater for a performance of Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella which tonight features the Broadway debuts of pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen and sitcom queen Fran Drescher.

On November 19, 1928 this was the location of the Colony Theater which, on that night, showed - for the first time anywhere - a cartoon with synchronized sound! That cartoon, Steamboat Willie, marked the first time a new animated character was shown ... Mickey Mouse!
