And I do as well, as today I too take flight and leave sunny Florida to return to the New York winter. (At least that's the plan.)

This photo, and those featured over the next few days were taken at the shore of the Raritan Bay in Tottenville in Staten Island, NY. The neighborhood that starts just to the right of this photo, Tottenville, suffered major destruction when this bay rose during Hurricane Sandy. My son used to live on the first block to the right of this photo. His house (which he had recently moved out of) was one that was suffered major damage. This is what it looks like today.
